Program Overview

The Transitional Housing Program is designed to provide young adults with the skills, knowledge and support they need to become self-sufficient.  This is an opportunity to give young adults and families the tools necessary to succeed in important areas of their lives through community connections, life skills, education, employment and housing.


Program Objectives

• Assist young adults to muster the courage to transition beyond their limitations.
• Provide safe, affordable, supported housing for young adults.
• To help young adults learn independent living and life skills.

Intake Process

• Participants will be selected through an intake process.
• All tenants also will have to pass screening by the Program Director.
• Initial intake and screening will occur through interview and assessment.

Elegibility

Must be at least 18 years of age
• Cannot actively be using or abusing drugs and / or alcohol.
• Must attend school or be employed full/part-time.
• Participants cannot have any adult violent criminal history within two prior years.

Length of Stay

Service will be provided for a maximum of 24 months.

Apartment Size
2 Bedrooms - Each unit is shared with a compatible roommate.
Rent: $600/mo, including utilities
