Program Overview
The mission of this program is to implement a comprehensive Workforce Development Program located in the Alamo Area mainly targeting Out-of-School youth. The major goal is to have a seamless one-stop youth development program that specifically target those youth most in need. The philosophy of the agency is that with guidance, motivation, training, adequate and appropriate support and resources, economically disadvantaged youth and their families can achieve and be successful. Workforce development is the pivotal strategy in empowering low-income youth and families, because without an appropriate education, training and financial resources this population will never be self-sufficient. Workforce development empowers not only the individual benefiting from the services, but the community as a whole, because having a adequate workforce is vital to attracting and sustaining businesses in the community.
